Michael Bowden
I’m a Founding Partner of the business and lead on mapping, research and insights. I have over 20 years of experience working in Search, including six years on the board of a fast-growing and award-winning boutique firm. I’m married, the proud father of two young children and split my time between St Albans and Devon. I’m passionate about the outdoors and can regularly be found on a hill, in a river, or in the sea with my kids. I also actively volunteer within the Scouts, run a local Beaver and Cub group, and lead all the local fundraising for an African-focused Malaria charity. In a previous life, I trained alongside Michelin-starred chefs so food remains one of my major passions (especially cooking on fire), and I am an insatiable consumer of Historical Fiction.
Kevin Mayes
As a Founding Partner, I focus on client engagement, leading the search process and share responsibility for efforts on providing insights, advisory and M&A. I’ve spent 25 years working in Search, which included founding and building a start-up for a larger company before setting up Bowden Mayes. My wife, three boys and chocolate Labrador leave me with very little spare time, but when I get the chance, I enjoy most outdoor pursuits, watching live comedy and going to the theatre. As dual citizens, my family and I split our time between Berkhamsted and Berlin. We are active supporters of GOSH and Action Medical Research, who have recently played a significant role in our lives and to whom I owe an immense debt of gratitude.
